Manohar Parrikar: The Leader Who Loved His Home!

Imagine a leader who was super good at math and science, and then decided to help run a whole state! That was Manohar Parrikar. He was born in a beautiful place called Goa, which is like India's sunny beach playground. He loved his home so much that he worked hard to make it a great place for everyone. Manohar Parrikar was one of the very first people to go to a special, super-hard science school called an IIT and then become a leader of a state! It's like being the best student in class and then becoming the principal! He made big decisions that affected lots of people. He even became the boss of all of India's soldiers and defense, which is a really, really important job!

Even when Manohar Parrikar got very sick, he didn't give up! He kept working to help his people. He was so strong, he stayed in his job for over a year even when he was fighting a tough illness. That's like running a marathon even when you have a scraped knee! He showed everyone that you can be brave and keep going, no matter what.

Because Manohar Parrikar did so many wonderful things for his country, he was given a very special award after he passed away. It's called the Padma Bhushan, and it's like getting a gold star for being an amazing helper! It means people remembered him for all the good he did and how much he cared about making things better.
