Mall

A mall is like a super-duper shopping center! It's a big building, sometimes so big it feels like a small town, where lots of different stores are all together. You can find clothes, toys, books, and even places to eat yummy snacks. Think of it as a giant indoor playground for shopping and exploring!

Long, long ago, people shopped at outdoor markets. Then, people started building special streets with shops, called 'malls'. Later, they figured out how to put all the shops inside one giant building so you could shop even when it was raining or super cold! These big indoor malls became popular a long time ago, like when your grandparents were kids.

Malls are great because they have almost everything you could want in one place. Need new shoes? There's a shoe store. Want ice cream? There's an ice cream shop! It's also a fun place to meet friends and family. Sometimes, malls even have special events like holiday decorations or live music, making them exciting places to visit.

Not all malls look the same! Some are huge buildings with many floors, like a giant box filled with shops. Others are smaller, like a row of shops with a parking lot in front, called a 'strip mall'. And some are just pretty streets with shops and places to walk, like a fun outdoor shopping area.
