Maha Yuti, meaning 'Grand Alliance,' emerged in 2014 as a significant political force in Maharashtra, India. Its formation was largely driven by the strategic imperative of consolidating power and maximizing electoral prospects by bringing together parties with complementary strengths and, in some cases, shared ideological ground. The alliance's initial and most enduring partnership was between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena.
