Meet the Moonwalkers!

Imagine being one of the very first humans to visit the Moon! That's what the Apollo astronauts did. They were super brave explorers who flew in amazing rockets. Twenty-four astronauts got to go on these incredible journeys. Twelve of them actually stepped onto the Moon, which is like a giant dusty ball far, far away.

Rocketing to the Stars!

These astronauts didn't just hop on a bus to the Moon. They blasted off in giant rockets called Saturn V. These rockets were taller than the Statue of Liberty! The Apollo missions happened between 1968 and 1972. That was a long time ago, before even your parents were born!

Walking on Another World!

When the astronauts landed on the Moon, they got to do amazing things. They bounced around in the Moon's low gravity, which made them feel super light. Some of them even drove special Moon cars called Lunar Roving Vehicles! It must have been like playing on the biggest playground ever.

Who Were These Heroes?

These astronauts were ordinary people who did extraordinary things. They trained for years to prepare for their missions. They are remembered as some of the bravest people in history for venturing so far from Earth. Their journeys helped us learn so much about space.
