Lisa Franchetti

Imagine being in charge of all the big ships and brave sailors in the U.S. Navy! That's what Admiral Lisa Franchetti did. She was the boss, the 33rd Chief of Naval Operations. This means she was like the captain of captains, making sure everything ran smoothly. She was born a long time ago, on April 25, 1964, and she worked super hard to get to this amazing job.

Admiral Franchetti didn't just become the boss overnight. She started as a surface warfare officer, which means she knows all about ships that sail on top of the water. She commanded big groups of ships, like carrier strike groups, which are like floating cities with airplanes!
