Lazarus of Bethany

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Lazarus who lived in a town called Bethany. He was very sick and sadly, he passed away. His family was very sad. But then, something incredible happened! Jesus, a very special person, came to visit. Jesus saw how sad everyone was and did something amazing that is told in a very old book called the New Testament.

Jesus went to where Lazarus was buried, which was a cave with a big stone in front of it. Jesus called out, 'Lazarus, come out!' And guess what? Lazarus, who had been gone for four days, walked right out of the cave! It was like a super-duper magic trick, but it was a real miracle. Everyone was so surprised and happy to see Lazarus alive again.

This story is super important because it shows how powerful Jesus was. He could even bring someone back from being gone forever! It's like if your favorite toy broke and you thought it was gone forever, and then someone fixed it so it was brand new again. This miracle is one of the most famous stories about Jesus and shows that even death isn't the end.

Even today, people remember Lazarus. The town where he lived is even called 'the place of Lazarus'! Sometimes, when scientists find old fossils of animals that they thought were all gone, they call them 'Lazarus creatures' because they 'came back' after being lost. It's a way to remember this amazing story of coming back to life.
