Giant Trucks That Carry Everything!

These are the super-sized trucks you see on the road, called Large Goods Vehicles, or LGVs for short! They are much bigger than your family car and can weigh as much as 10 elephants! Their job is to carry lots and lots of things from one place to another, like food for the supermarket or toys for the shops. They are the workhorses of the road, making sure we get everything we need.

LGVs weren't always this big! Long ago, trucks were smaller. But as people needed to move more things, these giant trucks were invented to help. Think of it like building bigger and bigger LEGO towers! The first big trucks started appearing a long time ago, and they've gotten even bigger and stronger over the years to carry more and more.

Without these giant trucks, our lives would be very different! Imagine not having your favorite snacks or new clothes because they couldn't be delivered. LGVs bring us everything from the food we eat to the clothes we wear and even the furniture in our homes. They are like the delivery superheroes of the world, making sure everything arrives safely.
