Where is Kyoto?
Kyoto is a super cool city in Japan, an island country far away! It's nestled in a valley surrounded by pretty green mountains. Think of it like being in a cozy bowl made of nature.

People in Kyoto love to make beautiful things! They are famous for making delicate pottery, colorful silk fabrics for kimonos (special Japanese dresses), and delicious sweets. Many people also work in shops selling these wonderful items or in restaurants serving tasty Japanese food.
It's a city where art and delicious food are a big part of everyday life, making it a very special place to live and visit.
