Karlheinz Stockhausen

Karlheinz Stockhausen was a super creative composer who lived from 1928 to 2007. He was born in Germany and loved to experiment with sounds. He didn't just write music for pianos or violins; he invented new ways to make music using machines and even sounds from everyday life!

He was like a mad scientist of music, always trying to discover something new and exciting. His music can sound very different from what you might hear on the radio, but it's full of amazing ideas.

One of the coolest things Karlheinz did was invent electronic music! He used special machines to create sounds that had never been heard before. Think of sounds like buzzing, whirring, or even voices that sound like they're coming from outer space.

He also liked to mix real sounds, like a baby crying or a door slamming, into his music. This was called 'musique concrète.' It was like building a song out of a giant box of sound toys!
