Imagine being a leader in your country when you're younger than many grown-ups! That's Karina Gould. She was born on June 28, 1987, and became a Member of Parliament in Canada when she was just 28 years old. That's like being the captain of your class when you're still in elementary school! She works for the Liberal Party, helping to make important decisions for Canada.

Karina Gould started her journey in politics quite young. She became a Member of Parliament for a place called Burlington on October 19, 2015. But she didn't stop there! She was also given important jobs in the government, like being in charge of making sure elections are fair and helping other countries. She even became the youngest woman ever to be a government minister in Canada!

Guess what? Karina Gould is also a mom! She is the first woman to have a baby while she was a federal minister. This means she had to take some time off to care for her little one, just like some parents do. But she's super strong and came back to her important work, showing that you can do big things even when you have a family.

Recently, Karina Gould decided to try and become the leader of her political party! She was the youngest person running for this big job. Even though she didn't win, she came in third place, which is still amazing! She showed everyone that young people can have big dreams and work hard to achieve them.
