Joseph Goebbels

Joseph Goebbels was born a long, long time ago, in 1897. He was a German man who became a very important person in a group called the Nazi Party. He was really good at talking to crowds and convincing them to believe what he said. He became the boss of telling everyone what the Nazi Party wanted them to think and hear. He was one of the closest friends of Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazis.

Goebbels was like a master magician with words! He knew how to use newspapers, the radio, and even movies to spread his ideas. Imagine if someone could make you believe anything they said on TV or your favorite game! That's kind of what he did. He made people believe very bad things about other people, especially Jewish people, which led to terrible sadness and harm.

Goebbels' job was to make sure everyone in Germany heard the Nazi Party's messages. He wanted people to hate certain groups of people and to support the Nazi leaders. He was especially good at using new inventions like the radio to reach lots of people at once. His words were like seeds that grew into very harmful ideas, making people angry and scared.

As the war got worse, Goebbels stayed by Hitler's side. In the very last days of the war, he and his wife, Magda, were with Hitler. Sadly, they made a terrible choice. After Hitler died, Goebbels became the leader for just one day. Then, he and his wife took their own lives, and before that, they gave their six children a poison that killed them too. It was a very sad and dark ending.
