Jorge Costa

He even helped them win the Champions League, which is like the Super Bowl of European soccer. He also played for teams in England and Belgium for a little while. He even played for his country, Portugal, in big tournaments like the World Cup!

Even when Jorge Costa was young, he was a soccer star! He was part of the Portugal under-20 team that won the FIFA World Youth Championship in 1991. That's like winning the world championship for young soccer players. This shows he was always a winner, even before he became a famous captain for the big team. He was a true leader from a young age.

After Jorge Costa stopped playing soccer, he didn't stop being involved with the game. He became a coach, helping other teams play their best. He even coached the national team of Gabon! Later, he went back to his favorite team, Porto, to help lead them as a director. He was a soccer hero who loved the game his whole life.
