Jorasanko

Imagine a place named after two bridges! That’s Jorasanko! It’s a neighborhood in a big city called Kolkata, in India. Long, long ago, there was a small stream, and two bridges, maybe made of wood or bamboo, crossed it. Because there were two (jora) bridges (sanko), people started calling this spot Jorasanko.
