Jonah Lomu: Rugby Superstar!

Imagine a rugby player who was as big as a small car and as fast as a racehorse! That was Jonah Lomu. He was born in New Zealand and became famous for playing rugby, a super popular sport in countries like New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. Jonah was so good, he made people all over the world excited about rugby. He was a true legend!

Jonah Lomu was a winger, which means he was supposed to be fast and score tries (that's like touchdowns in American football). But Jonah was different! He was HUGE, weighing as much as a big fridge, and he was incredibly strong.

When he ran with the ball, it was like a bulldozer charging down the field. He would simply run right over other players to score! He scored so many tries, he became one of the best players ever.

Jonah Lomu was born on May 12, 1975, in New Zealand. He had a tough childhood but found his passion and talent in rugby. He started playing for his country, the All Blacks, when he was very young.
