Jhené Aiko

Jhené Aiko is a singer and songwriter who makes beautiful music! She was born a long, long time ago in 1988. Imagine a time before most of your parents were even grown up! She started singing when she was just a teenager, helping out a popular music group called B2K. It was like being a backup singer on a super cool adventure!

Jhené's first big music step was in 2002, singing with B2K. She was even in their music videos! The record label wanted everyone to think she was Lil' Fizz's cousin to help her get famous, but they weren't actually related. She was supposed to release her own album, but she decided to go back to school instead. That shows how important learning is, even for stars!

After taking a break to learn, Jhené came back in 2011 with a special collection of songs called a mixtape. Then, she signed with a cool record label. She got really famous when she sang with another rapper, Lil Wayne, on a song called 'Beware'. It was so popular it even showed up on a big music chart called the Billboard Hot 100, which is like the top-secret list of the most popular songs!

Jhené has made many amazing albums that people love. Her album 'Chilombo' was a huge success and was even nominated for three Grammy Awards, which are like the biggest awards for music!
