Jethro Tull (The Farmer Who Changed Farming!)

Once upon a time, in England, there was a man named Jethro Tull. He wasn't a king or a knight, but he was super important for growing food! Jethro lived a long, long time ago, way back in the 1700s. He loved farming and thought about how to make it easier and grow more yummy food for everyone. He was like a super inventor, but for farms!

Jethro invented a fantastic machine that was pulled by a horse. This machine was like a super-powered planter! Instead of scattering seeds all over the place, it carefully poked them into neat rows in the ground. This meant the seeds were planted at the perfect depth and had more space to grow. It was much better than just throwing seeds by hand!

Before Jethro, planting seeds was a bit messy, and not all of them grew. His clever machine helped plant seeds more efficiently, which meant more plants grew! This helped farmers grow more food, which was great because it meant more people could eat. His ideas helped start a big change in farming called the British Agricultural Revolution.

Jethro didn't stop with just the seed planter! He also invented a special tool, also pulled by a horse, called a hoe. This hoe could carefully go between the rows of plants and get rid of weeds. Weeds are like pesky plants that steal food and water from the plants we want to grow. So, his hoe helped the good plants grow even stronger!
