Jatiya Sangsad: Bangladesh's Big Meeting House!

The Jatiya Sangsad is like the main meeting room for Bangladesh! It's where the country's leaders, called Members of Parliament (MPs), get together. They talk about important things and decide what's best for everyone in Bangladesh. Think of it as the place where all the big ideas for the country are shared and decided upon. It's a very important building for the nation!

There are 350 seats inside the Jatiya Sangsad. Most of these seats are for MPs who are chosen by the people. But guess what? 50 of those seats are just for women! This is to make sure women's voices are heard too. Everyone who sits in these seats is called a Member of Parliament, or MP for short. They are all there to help run the country.

The MPs meet every five years to choose new leaders. But sometimes, if something big happens, they might have a new meeting sooner! The President of Bangladesh can decide when it's time for new elections. It's like having a big class election every few years to pick the class president and other helpers.

The people in the Jatiya Sangsad make super important choices. The leader of the group with the most votes becomes the Prime Minister. This person is like the captain of the country's team! They also choose the President, who is like the main helper for the country. All these decisions help shape what happens in Bangladesh.
