James Prime

Imagine a super-talented musician named James Prime! He was like a wizard with keyboards, making magical sounds for a famous rock band called Deacon Blue. He joined them way back in 1985 and stayed with them for a super long time, until he sadly passed away in 2025. All eleven of their albums had his awesome keyboard playing on them! That's a lot of music!

James Prime wasn't just a rockstar; he was also a super smart teacher! When he wasn't busy making amazing music, he would go to the University of the West of Scotland and teach students. Think of it like a grown-up school where he shared his knowledge. He was good at both making music and helping others learn!

One of the last albums James Prime worked on with Deacon Blue was called 'The Great Western Road'. It came out in 2025, just a few months before he passed. Guess what? This album was a HUGE success! Lots of people in Scotland and all over the United Kingdom loved it. It shows how much his music meant to so many people.

Even though James Prime is no longer with us, his music lives on forever! Every time you hear a Deacon Blue song, you can think of him and the incredible keyboard melodies he created. He was a very important part of the band and helped them make music that people will enjoy for many, many years to come. What a cool way to be remembered!
