International Airport

An international airport is like a super-duper big airport where planes can fly to and from different countries. Think of it as a special place with everything needed to welcome planes and people from all over the planet. These airports have really long runways, much longer than a football field, so big airplanes have enough space to zoom and land safely.

They are busy hubs where exciting journeys begin and end!

These airports have special buildings called terminals where people wait for their flights. Inside, there are places to check in, go through security, and then find your airplane. Air traffic controllers are like the traffic police for the sky, guiding planes safely.

They make sure planes have enough space to land and take off without bumping into each other. It's a very organized dance between pilots and controllers!

International airports help us visit friends and family who live far away in other countries. They also help bring exciting things like toys and yummy foods from all around the world to our homes. Without them, traveling to new places would be much harder! They connect people and cultures, making our world feel a little smaller and a lot more interesting.

Airports started getting really important for flying between countries a long time ago, especially after World War II. Before that, flying was mostly for short trips.
