Goodluck Jonathan

Imagine a very important person in a big country called Nigeria! That's Goodluck Jonathan. He was born a long, long time ago, in 1957. He grew up and became a leader, working his way up to become the President of Nigeria. That means he was like the captain of a huge team, making big decisions for everyone. He served as president for five years, from 2010 to 2015.

Being president is a super big job! Goodluck Jonathan was the leader of Nigeria, a country with lots and lots of people. He also served as the Vice President before becoming President. Before that, he was even a governor, which is like being the leader of a big state within the country. He worked in different important roles, helping to lead Nigeria.

One of the most amazing things Goodluck Jonathan did happened in 2015. He was running to be president again, but he didn't win the election. Instead of getting upset, he did something incredible! He was the first president in Nigeria's history to say, 'Okay, you won!' and let the other person become president. This was a huge deal because it showed everyone how to be fair and peaceful.

Goodluck Jonathan is remembered for many things, but especially for being a good sport. In Nigeria, sometimes elections were tricky, with arguments and not everyone playing fair. But when Goodluck Jonathan lost, he made sure everything was peaceful.
