Golestan Province: Land of Green Wonders!

Imagine a special spot in the northeast of Iran, right next to a giant, sparkling sea called the Caspian Sea. That's Golestan Province! It's like a colorful puzzle piece in the country.

To the north, it even has a border with a different country called Turkmenistan. Its capital city, where the main adventures happen, is called Gorgan. It used to have a different, older name, Esterabad, a super long time ago!

Golestan is a super green and beautiful place. It's known for its amazing nature, like lush forests and wide-open spaces. The weather can be nice and warm, perfect for exploring. Golestan is a bit like a new kid in school, but for provinces! It wasn't always its own place. Not too long ago, in 1997, it was part of a bigger province called Mazandaran. Then, they decided it was special enough to be its own province. It's also organized into regions for planning, kind of like how your school might have different groups for activities.

Lots of friendly people call Golestan home! They speak different languages, but many people in Iran speak Persian. Most of the people there follow a religion called Shia Islam. They have their own special traditions and ways of celebrating. It's a place with a rich culture, full of stories and unique customs passed down through families.
