Goats: The Amazing Climbing Critters!

Goats are fuzzy, friendly farm animals with funny beards and amazing climbing skills! They have special hooves that help them walk on rocky places. Goats are very curious and love to explore. They are also very social and like to live in groups called herds. Did you know goats can even climb trees? That's right, they are like little mountain goats on your farm!

Goats are herbivores, which means they only eat plants. They love to munch on grass, leaves, and twigs. They are also famous for eating almost anything, like tin cans (but they shouldn't!). Their strong stomachs help them digest tough plants. They spend a lot of their day eating and chewing their cud, which is like a super-powered second digestion!

Goats can live in many places, from warm farms to chilly mountains. Wild goats, like the ibex, live high up in rocky mountains in places like Europe and Asia. They are super good at climbing steep cliffs to find food and stay safe from other animals. Domestic goats, the ones you see on farms, are happy living with people all over the world.

When baby goats are born, they are called 'kids'! Isn't that funny? A mother goat usually has one or two kids at a time, but sometimes she can have more. Baby goats are born with soft fur and can stand up and walk just a few hours after they are born. They are very playful and love to jump and butt heads with their siblings.
