Imagine a special house just for cars, trucks, and buses! That's what a garage is. It's a building where vehicles can park and be protected from rain, snow, and sunshine. Some garages are attached to our houses, like a little room for our family car. Others are big buildings where lots of cars can park when we go shopping or visit a city. It's like a safe parking spot for our favorite rides!

Long, long ago, people didn't have cars, so they didn't need garages. But when the first cars were invented, people needed a place to keep them. At first, they might have used old barns or sheds. As cars became more popular, special buildings called garages were built just for them. These early garages were often simple sheds, but they were the beginning of the garages we see everywhere today!
