Gao Qifeng

Imagine a super talented artist named Gao Qifeng who lived a long, long time ago in China. He was like a superhero of painting! Gao Qifeng loved to paint animals, especially powerful eagles, majestic lions, and fierce tigers.

He didn't just paint them like everyone else; he mixed old Chinese painting tricks with cool new ideas from other countries. This made his paintings look super special and exciting, like they could almost jump off the paper!

Gao Qifeng learned to paint from his older brother, who was also a famous artist. When he grew up, he traveled to a place called Tokyo, which is like a super busy city in Japan. There, he learned even more about painting, like how to use light and shadows to make things look real.

He even joined a group that wanted to make China a better place. Then, he came back to China and taught lots of other kids how to paint, just like him!

Gao Qifeng was a master at mixing styles! He used Japanese art ideas to make his paintings glow with light and shadow, almost like a movie. He also used ideas from Western art to make his pictures look like they had real depth, like looking through a window.

His paintings of animals were so full of life and energy, you could almost hear the lion roar or the eagle screech! He was like a magician with his paintbrush.

After teaching many students, Gao Qifeng started his own special art studio called Tianfang Studio. It was a place where young artists could learn his unique way of painting. He was so good that he even became an honorary professor at a university!

His art helped start a whole new style of painting called the Lingnan School, which is still loved today. He made art history by being brave and trying new things.
