Franz Kafka

Franz Kafka was a writer who lived a long, long time ago, from 1883 to 1924. He was born in a city called Prague, which is now in a country called the Czech Republic. Franz loved to write stories, but his stories were a bit unusual.

They often felt like strange dreams or puzzles that were hard to solve. He wrote about people who found themselves in confusing situations, like waking up as a giant bug! Even though his stories were odd, many people today think they are super interesting and important.
