Flower Parade

A flower parade is like a giant, moving garden! Everything in the parade, from big floats and cars to boats and even people, is covered in beautiful, colorful flowers. These flower parades have been around for a very long time, even before your grandparents were born! The very first flower parades started way back in the 1800s. That's over 200 years ago! People have loved decorating with flowers for celebrations for a long, long time.

Flower parades are special because they celebrate nature's beauty and the changing seasons, like when spring arrives. They bring communities together to enjoy art and music. In some places, like the Netherlands, these flower parades are so important they are recognized by a special group called UNESCO!

Creating a flower parade float is a big job! People carefully pick and arrange thousands of flowers. They might use special glues or wires to attach them to the floats, which can be as big as a school bus! It takes a lot of teamwork and creativity to make these floral masterpieces.
