Evgenia Shishkova

Imagine gliding on ice, doing amazing jumps and spins! That's what Evgenia Shishkova loved to do. She was a fantastic figure skater from Russia. She and her husband, Vadim Naumov, were a super team. They even won the World Championship, which is like being the best in the whole world at skating! They also won another big competition called the Champions Series Final.

After being a star skater herself, Evgenia became a coach. This means she taught other kids how to skate and do all the cool moves. It's like a star athlete becoming a teacher at your school! She helped new skaters learn and get better, sharing her knowledge and passion for the sport. Being a coach is a very important job, helping others reach their dreams.

Sadly, Evgenia Shishkova passed away in 2025. It was a very unfortunate accident involving two airplanes. One was a big passenger jet, and the other was a helicopter. They were flying near an airport when the accident happened. It was a very sad day for everyone who knew her and for the world of figure skating.

Even though Evgenia is no longer with us, her legacy lives on. She is remembered for her incredible talent as a skater and her dedication as a coach. She inspired many people with her skills on the ice and her kindness. Her story shows us how much passion and hard work can achieve, both as an athlete and as a teacher.
