Estates Theatre

Imagine a special building in a city called Prague where people go to watch amazing shows! This is the Estates Theatre. It's like a giant storybook house where actors pretend to be other people and sing songs or tell exciting tales. It’s a very old and important place for fun performances.

This theatre has been around for a super long time, since 1783! That’s even older than your grandparents’ grandparents! It was built for people to enjoy plays and music. Over the years, it became part of an even bigger theatre family, the National Theatre, to share even more wonderful performances with everyone.

The Estates Theatre is famous because it’s where a very famous composer named Mozart’s opera, Don Giovanni, had its first-ever show! Imagine being in the same room where a brand new, amazing opera was heard for the very first time. It’s like being at the start of a really cool adventure!

Inside the Estates Theatre, you can see different kinds of shows. There are operas, where people sing all the words, ballets, where people dance their stories, and plays, where actors talk and act. These shows are performed by three different groups of talented artists who all work together to make magic happen on stage.
