Emirates SkyCargo Flight 9788

Emirates SkyCargo Flight 9788 was like a super-duper big truck that flies! It was a special airplane called a Boeing 747-400, which is really, really long, maybe as long as a school bus! This flying truck was busy carrying important things from one country to another. It was on its way from a place called the United Arab Emirates to a busy city called Hong Kong.

One night, when it was dark and quiet, Flight 9788 was trying to land at the Hong Kong airport. But oops! It didn't stop quite where it was supposed to. The big airplane went a little too far and ended up in the water next to the runway. It was a surprise for everyone on board and at the airport!

Even though the airplane had a big splash, the four people flying inside were okay. They were very lucky! But sadly, two people who were working on the ground at the airport were hurt. It shows us that even with amazing flying machines, safety is super important for everyone.

After the airplane landed in the water, it couldn't fly anymore. It was too damaged. The airport workers were very quick to check everything. They made sure the runway was safe again so other airplanes could land and take off. It's like cleaning up a playground after a big game!
