Down House

This is Down House, a special place where a famous scientist named Charles Darwin lived with his family. It's not just any house; it's where he did lots of thinking and writing about how animals and plants change over many, many years. He lived here for a long time, from 1842 until he passed away.

The house is in a pretty village called Downe, which used to be called Down when he moved there. It's a bit like a museum now, showing everyone how he lived and worked.
