Derek Carr

Imagine a superhero who can throw a football super far! That's Derek Carr. He played a game called American football for many years. In this game, players try to score points by getting a special ball into a special zone. Derek was a quarterback, which means he was the leader of his team on the field. He was really good at throwing the ball to his teammates so they could score!

Derek started playing football when he was young, just like you might play games with friends. He went to college at a place called Fresno State, where he played for their team, the Bulldogs. Then, he got to play in the big leagues, the NFL!

He played for a team called the Oakland Raiders for a long, long time. He was so good that he even got to go to special games called the Pro Bowl, where the best players get to show off their skills.

Derek Carr was known for his super strong arm! He could throw the football so far, it was like a rocket zooming across the field. He threw more passes than almost anyone else on his team. He helped his team, the Raiders, get to the playoffs, which is like the championship part of the season, a few times. This was a really big deal for the team and their fans!

After playing for the Raiders for many years, Derek moved to another team called the New Orleans Saints. He played for them for a little while too. Sadly, he had to stop playing football because of an injury to his shoulder. But even though he retired, his amazing throws and all the games he played will be remembered by football fans everywhere!
