DeMeco Ryans

Imagine a super-fast runner who's really good at stopping other players! That's DeMeco Ryans. He used to play football as a linebacker, which means he was one of the main defenders. Now, he's a head coach, like the captain of the whole team, telling everyone where to go! He was born on July 28, 1984. He's like a superhero for the Houston Texans football team.

DeMeco Ryans started his football journey playing for a college team called the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was so good, everyone agreed he was one of the best! Then, the Houston Texans picked him to play for them. He was so amazing as a rookie player that he won an award for being the best new player. He even played in special games called Pro Bowls twice!

After being a star player, DeMeco Ryans decided to become a coach. He started helping out the San Francisco 49ers team. He coached the players who were linebackers, just like he used to be!

Then, he became the main defensive coach. Now, he's the head coach for the Houston Texans again, and guess what? He led them to the playoffs in his very first year as head coach!
