Delhi University Students Union

The Delhi University Students Union, or DUSU for short, is like a super-duper important club for students in a city called Delhi, in India. Delhi is a busy place with lots of people and exciting things happening. DUSU is part of the University of Delhi, which has many colleges, like different classrooms all over the city. It's a place where students from all these colleges can come together.

This amazing student club started a long, long time ago, in 1949! That's even before your parents or grandparents were born. It took a few years for the students to decide who would lead the club, and the very first elections, where students voted for their leaders, happened in 1954. It's like choosing the captain of your sports team, but for a whole university!

Guess what? DUSU is the BIGGEST student club on the ENTIRE planet! It has over 700,000 students as members. That's more people than can fit in a giant stadium! All the students who go to the colleges and study at the University of Delhi are part of this club. They all get to have a say in what the club does.

The DUSU is like the voice for all the students. It helps make sure students' ideas and needs are heard by the people in charge of the university. They have a special year that runs from August 16th to August 15th of the next year. It's a way for students to work together, learn from each other, and make their university experience even better!
