Darren Ferguson is a Scottish soccer coach and used to be a player. Imagine a super-fast runner on a soccer field, that was him! He's been a coach for a team called Peterborough United many times. He's like a superhero who keeps coming back to help his team win. He also coached other teams like Preston North End and Doncaster Rovers. He loves soccer and helping teams play their best games!

Guess what? Darren's dad was the super famous soccer coach Sir Alex Ferguson! When Darren was a player, his dad was his boss at Manchester United. That's like your parent being your teacher at school! Darren even won a big prize called the Premier League title with his dad's team. After that, he played for other teams like Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wrexham, helping them score lots of goals.

Darren became a coach for Peterborough United when he was still a player! It's like being the captain of your soccer team and also telling everyone where to run. He was so good that his team got promoted, which means they moved up to a harder league. They even got to play in the second-highest league in England for the first time in 17 years!
