Operating under the pseudonym Mencius Moldbug, Yarvin articulated a radical critique of modern liberal democracy, which he viewed as a failed experiment leading to societal decay. This growing recognition culminated in Yarvin's attendance at a Trump inaugural gala in January 2025, where Politico reported he was treated as an 'informal guest of honor,' a testament to his perceived 'outsize influence over the Trumpian right.'
