Council of States (Switzerland)

Switzerland is a country in Europe, like a puzzle piece in a big continent! It has tall mountains, sparkly lakes, and green fields. The Council of States is like a special meeting room for Switzerland's helpers. They don't have one single capital city for this club, but Bern is the main city where lots of important work happens. This club has 46 members, which is like having 46 friends in a super-big classroom! Most of Switzerland's regions, called cantons, get to send two helpers each. But some smaller regions, called half-cantons, only send one helper. It's like some friends get two votes and others get one. They all work together to make good choices for everyone in Switzerland.
