Costa neoRomantica
Key Facts
Meet the Giant Ship!
The Costa neoRomantica was a super-duper big ship, like a floating hotel with lots of rooms and fun things to do! It was built a long, long time ago, in 1993, in a country called Italy. Think of it as a giant playground on the water, ready to take people to exciting places far away. It was even a twin sister to another ship called Costa Classica, meaning they looked very alike!
Adventures on the Waves!
This amazing ship was made for taking people on fun vacations called cruises. People would hop on board and sail to different countries, seeing new sights and trying new foods. The Costa neoRomantica was designed to be a comfy place to stay while exploring the big, blue ocean. It was like a moving city, filled with places to eat, sleep, and play, all while sailing to sunny destinations.
A Ship's Makeover!
Even though the ship was built in 1993, it got a special makeover in 2003, which is like getting a brand new paint job and some cool new decorations! Later, in 2011, it was even given a new name: Costa neoRomantica. This shows that ships can be updated and changed over time, just like your favorite toys might get new accessories.
It was then sent to sail in Asia, visiting new places and making new friends.
The Ship's Final Voyage
Sadly, the Costa neoRomantica's sailing days came to an end. In 2020, it was sold to a new company and renamed again. But it never got to sail for its new owners! It was sold one more time and given another new name, Antares Experience. Sadly, its journey ended when it was taken to a special place called a shipyard to be taken apart, like a big LEGO set being carefully deconstructed.
