Chamonix

Chamonix is a super cool town in France, right at the bottom of Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in all of Western Europe! That's like stacking 1,000 school buses on top of each other, and Mont Blanc is even taller! Chamonix is surrounded by amazing, pointy mountains and is a perfect place for people who love adventures in the snow and on the rocks.

Guess what? Chamonix was the very first place in the whole world to have the Winter Olympics! That was way back in 1924. Imagine all the athletes from different countries coming together to ski, skate, and have fun in the snow. It was a huge celebration of winter sports, and Chamonix was the star of the show!

One of the most exciting things about Chamonix is a special ski run called the Vallée Blanche. It's a long, snowy path that goes down the mountain.
