Imagine a car going faster than a superhero can run! That's Carlos Sainz Jr. He's a Formula One driver, which means he races in the fastest cars on Earth.

These cars are like super-powered go-karts, but way, way bigger and louder! Carlos has won four of these super-fast races, called Grands Prix. He started racing when he was very young, just like many kids start with toy cars or go-karts on a playground.

Carlos's dad was also a famous race car driver, so maybe speed runs in his family! Carlos started in karting, which is like racing small, open cars. Then he moved up to faster junior cars, winning races along the way.

He joined big racing teams like Toro Rosso, Renault, McLaren, and Ferrari. Each team is like a different school, and he learned new things at each one to become an even better driver. He even got to race with his dad's old racing number, 55!

Formula One cars are like rockets on wheels! They have super powerful engines that make a roaring sound. They can go from zero to over 200 miles per hour in just a few seconds – that's faster than a train!

The cars are also very light and have special tires for amazing grip, so they don't slide around corners. Carlos has to be super strong and have quick reflexes to control these amazing machines at such high speeds.

Carlos has had some incredible wins. One of his most exciting victories was in Britain, where he got his first big win and his first pole position (starting in the very front!). He also won races in Singapore, Australia, and Mexico.

Imagine winning a race in front of thousands of cheering fans! He's now racing for a new team called Williams, and he's already gotten another podium finish, which means he was one of the top three drivers!
