Imagine someone who spent a LOT of time helping people and making rules for their town and state. That was Beverly White! She was born a long, long time ago, in 1928, in a place called Salt Lake City.

She grew up in a town called Tooele, Utah. Beverly loved to learn and went to Tooele High School. She was very good at talking to people and getting things done, which is why she became a politician!

Her Big Political Adventure!

Beverly started her political journey by joining a special club for ladies who cared about politics. Then, she got even more involved in her town's political party. She worked so hard that she became a leader!

She was like the secretary for the whole state's Democratic Party for 16 whole years. That's longer than you've been alive! She even got to go to big meetings where important people decided things for the whole country.

Making Laws Like a Superhero!

Beverly became a real lawmaker in the Utah House of Representatives. She was there for 20 years, which is like going to school for a super long time! She helped make laws and was sometimes the only woman in charge of important groups. She even helped start a new part of a university so more people could learn. She was a real champion for her community!

A Champion for a Long Time!

Beverly White was so good at her job that she was the longest-serving woman in the Utah State Legislature for a very long time. She believed in helping others and making her state a better place. She showed everyone that women can be strong leaders and make a big difference in the world. Her work helped shape Utah for many years!
