This amazing stadium is in Beijing, China, a super big city! It's part of a special place called Olympic Green. Beijing is the capital city, which means it's the most important city in China. The weather there can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, just like some places you might know!
When Was the Nest Built?
The Bird's Nest wasn't always there. Construction started a long, long time ago, in 2003, and it was finished in 2008. That's when it got to show off for the Summer Olympics! It was like a brand new toy for the whole world to see and use for exciting sports.
