Who is Ban Ki-moon?

Imagine a super-helper for the whole planet! That's kind of like Ban Ki-moon. He was born a long, long time ago in a country called South Korea.

When he grew up, he became a very important diplomat, which means he was like a world-class problem solver. He even became the boss of the United Nations, a huge group of countries working together to make the world a better place. He was the boss for 10 whole years!

His Big World Job!

Ban Ki-moon's biggest job was being the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Think of it like being the captain of a giant ship with almost every country in the world on board! He had to make sure everyone got along and worked on important things like keeping peace and helping people.
