What's the Bahá'í Faith All About?

Imagine a world where everyone is friends, no matter where they live or what they look like. That's kind of what the Bahá'í Faith is about! It's a religion that started a long time ago with a special messenger named Baháʼu'lláh.

He taught that all people are like brothers and sisters, and that God wants us to be kind and loving to each other. Bahá'ís believe that all the big religions, like Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, come from the same God and teach similar important lessons about love and fairness.

Who Started This Peaceful Idea?

The person who started it all was named Baháʼu'lláh. He was born in Persia, which is now called Iran, a very long time ago in 1817. He was a kind and wise man who wanted to share a message of peace and unity with the whole world.

He traveled and taught people to love each other and to work together. He believed that God sent many messengers throughout history, like Jesus and Muhammad, to guide people, and that he was the latest one to bring God's message for today.

Where Do Bahá'ís Worship?

Bahá'ís have special places called Houses of Worship. These are beautiful buildings that are open to everyone, no matter what they believe. They are designed to be round with a dome on top, and they have nine sides!

The number nine is special to Bahá'ís because it's the last single digit and means completeness. Inside, people can pray, meditate, and learn about the Bahá'í teachings. There are Houses of Worship in many different countries around the world, like in India, Germany, and the United States.

Why is Unity So Important?

The most important idea in the Bahá'í Faith is unity. Bahá'ís believe that the world is like a garden, and all the different kinds of people are like beautiful flowers. Each flower is different, but together they make the garden amazing!

They believe that when we understand and respect each other, we can solve big problems and make the world a much better place. This means treating everyone with kindness, working for fairness, and learning from each other.
