Meet the Moon Travelers!

There were three amazing astronauts on Apollo 8: Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and William Anders. They were the first people to see the far side of the Moon, which always hides from us on Earth. They also saw something called an 'Earthrise' โ€“ our beautiful blue planet popping up over the Moon's edge. It must have been an incredible sight!

A Christmas Surprise from Space!

Guess what? The Apollo 8 mission happened right around Christmas! On Christmas Eve, the astronauts sent a TV message from space. They read from a very old book called the Book of Genesis. Millions of people watched them, making it the most popular TV show ever at that time! It was a truly magical Christmas gift from space.

Going Where No One Had Gone Before!
