Amanullah Khan

Imagine a leader named Amanullah Khan who was in charge of Afghanistan a long, long time ago, from 1919 to 1929. He was like the captain of a ship, guiding his country. He wanted Afghanistan to be a strong, independent country, not told what to do by other big countries.

He dreamed of making his country modern, like building new schools and changing how people lived, to be more like places in Europe. It was a big dream for a big country!

Before Amanullah Khan, Afghanistan was a bit like a kid who had to ask permission from an older sibling for some things. But after a war, Amanullah Khan helped make Afghanistan completely independent! This means Afghanistan could make its own rules and decide its own friendships without asking anyone else.
