Ahura Mazda: The Wise Lord!

Imagine a super-wise king who is always good and loves light! That's Ahura Mazda. He is the main god in a very old religion called Zoroastrianism.

His name means 'Lord Wisdom'. He is like the brightest star in the sky, always shining and showing the way. He is the first and most important spirit that people prayed to.

He wants everyone to be good and choose the right path, like choosing to share your toys instead of keeping them all to yourself.

People started talking a lot about Ahura Mazda a super long time ago, around 2,500 years ago! That's even older than your grandparents' grandparents! A king named Darius the Great wrote about him.

For a long time, people only prayed to Ahura Mazda. Later, they started praying to him with two other special spirits too. Sometimes, they even had an empty chariot pulled by white horses to invite Ahura Mazda to watch over their soldiers in battles.

It was like inviting a special guest to cheer them on!

For a long time, people didn't draw pictures of Ahura Mazda. They thought of him as pure light and wisdom. But after a while, starting about 2,500 years ago, they did start making images of him.

Later on, some people decided they didn't want pictures of gods anymore. So, they took down the statues and carvings. They believed that Ahura Mazda was so special, he didn't need to be shown in a picture.

He was more about the feeling of goodness and wisdom inside you.

Ahura Mazda teaches us to always choose good over bad. He is like a superhero for truth and kindness. He wants us to think good thoughts, say good words, and do good deeds.

This helps make the world a better place, just like cleaning up your room makes it a nicer place to play. By following Ahura Mazda's teachings, people try to bring more light and happiness into the world. It’s all about making good choices every single day!
