African National Congress Youth League

The African National Congress Youth League, or ANC Youth League for short, is like a special club for young people who are part of a bigger group called the African National Congress (ANC). Think of it as the ANC's energetic younger sibling! This club is all about helping young people get involved and have a voice in important decisions.

They have leaders, just like your school might have a student council, who help guide their activities and make sure everyone's ideas are heard.

This amazing group started a long, long time ago! It was created by young people who wanted to make sure that everyone in South Africa, no matter their age or background, had fair chances and opportunities. They believed that young people have important ideas and energy that could help shape their country.

So, they formed this league to bring all those young voices together and work towards a brighter future for everyone.

The ANC Youth League is super important because it gives young people a platform to speak up! It's like having a megaphone to share your thoughts and dreams for your community and country. They help young people learn about their rights and how to make positive changes.

Just like a sports team has a captain and coaches, the ANC Youth League has leaders too! They have a main group of leaders called the National Executive Committee, and an even smaller, super-busy group called the National Working Committee. These leaders help plan events, organize meetings, and make sure the league is doing its best work.

They follow rules, just like you follow rules in class, to make sure everything is fair and organized for all the young members.
