Madagascar's Big Change in 2025!

In October 2025, a special group of soldiers called CAPSAT decided it was time for a change in Madagascar. They were like a super-team from the army! They marched into the capital city, Antananarivo, and took over the government. It was a big surprise for everyone! The soldiers wanted the rest of the army to join them, and most did without a big fight.

After the soldiers took over, the president, whose name was Andry Rajoelina, left the country. Nobody is exactly sure why he left or where he went! From far away, he tried to tell the country's lawmakers to stop working, but they didn't listen. They even decided to remove him from his job! Then, the soldiers announced they were in charge of everything.

After all the excitement, a colonel from the CAPSAT group, named Michael Randrianirina, became the new leader. He was sworn in as the interim president. This means he was the leader for a little while until they could figure out what to do next. It was a very fast change for the whole country!
