The Great Caerphilly Election Adventure!

Sometimes, when a leader for a special place called the Senedd has to leave, they need to pick a new one really fast! This is called a by-election. In Caerphilly, a town in Wales, they had a by-election on October 23, 2025. It was like a special school election, but for grown-ups to choose someone to represent them. The person chosen helps make important decisions for their area.

Guess what? A person named Lindsay Whittle won the election! This was super exciting because for over 100 years, the same political team, called Labour, had always won elections in Caerphilly.
