Yevgeny Mravinsky

Yevgeny Mravinsky was a super-talented conductor from a long time ago. Think of a conductor like a captain of a ship, but instead of a ship, it's a whole orchestra of musicians! He used his special stick, called a baton, to guide all the instruments, like violins, trumpets, and drums, to play together perfectly.

He was born in Russia and became famous for leading music in a city called Leningrad, which is now called St. Petersburg.

Yevgeny Mravinsky lived from 1903 to 1988. That's a long time ago, even before your grandparents were born! He loved music so much that he decided to become a conductor. He spent many years practicing and learning how to make music sound its very best. He was like a superhero of sound, making sure every note was just right.
